This No Roof Left Behind Installation was a very special one for us at Earl W. Johnston Roofing, LLC.
It all started when one of Mr. & Mrs. Carters’ 26 grandchildren nominated their home on our No Roof Left Behind page. The Carters have lived in the house for over 40 years and have raised all of their children in that house. They have always celebrated every holiday in their home along with their whole family. The Carter family has performed many repairs on the roof on their own, but due to health issues Mr. Carter is unable to take care of it like he used to.
Mr. and Mrs. Carter had their whole family with them throughout the voting period. They were on every social media page blasting to vote for their mother/grandmother. It was a very close race this time around. Every time The Carters would get some votes another contestant would get a couple more which kept them neck and neck. The last week of voting became very stressful for the families as they found out no percentages would be shown on the site.
But the Carters pulled through and kept a strong lead.
On October 22, 2014 we announced the winners, Mr. and Mrs. Carter. They were extremely happy and excited. Mrs. Carter was lost for words she had to give the phone over to her daughter. The process leading up to the installation celebration got more exciting as the day got closer. We received a lot of sponsors from different companies such as ABC Supply, GAF, Bank United, Wells Fargo, etc. Without these companies along with No Roof Left Behind none of this would’ve been possible.
And finally November 15, 2014 came, our Installation Celebration day for the Carters. It was such an amazing day for us. The Carters invited their friends, family and neighbors to the event. We had contests going on and gave out a couple of prizes as well. The family was so grateful for everything that we did it was heartwarming. It was an emotional day for all but turned out a great success knowing we touched lives of our fellow community by helping a family in need and I wouldn’t have wanted it to turn out any other way. Thank you Carters!
