Great attention to detail and professional service

After getting quotes from multiple roofing contractors for a re-roof on my home I selected Earl W. Johnston Roofing. They weren't the least expensive by a considerable margin but I selected them because of their excellent reputation for quality and their comprehensive and very professional quoting process. There was no sales pressure to "sign today" from the person who came to my home to do the quote, Mike Wilde, like there was from some of the other contractors. He patiently answered all of my questions and was willing to come out on a Saturday to fit my schedule. After selecting them, the communication leading up to the start of the job was proactive, clear and responsive. On the day of the start of the roof removal they showed up on time as promised when they said they would and put a great deal of effort into protecting the rest of my house and even my neighbors yard from the work they were going to do. Removing a tile roof is messy and noisy and they did an excellent job of minimizing the mess and cleaning up after themselves. They worked quickly and efficiently and the crew leader Kiet was clear, professional and accurate in all of his communications with me. They worked very hard to impact my neighbors as little as possible in a zero lot line community where the houses are very close together, which is difficult at best, and immediately cleaned up after themselves when the roof removal was done. We have passed our initial inspection now on the first try and I am very happy with the work that Earl W. Johnston Roofing has done and highly recommend them.

Mike Wilde, a sales manager from Johnston Roofing, came over to give me an estimate on a leak that is evident in my ceiling. I had previously had two other roofing companies give me estimates. Both of them told me I needed to remove the roof ridge vents and cover up those areas with shingles, and one of them encouraged me to replace my entire roof. After Mike did a thorough inspection of both attics in my roof (the other companies only checked one), he showed me pictures he took that made it clear the problem was not with the roof but with the insulation around the air condition copper piping in the roof. His inspection revealed the real problem, and he didn’t try to get me to fix my roof that didn’t need fixing. Thanks Mike, and thanks Johnston Roofing!
