5 Things to Expect During a Roofing Project

As one of the leading roofers in North Miami, we want you to have a smooth and pleasant experience during your roofing project. If this is the first time you’re having your roof serviced, whether it’s a minor roof cleaning job or something major like a roof replacement, you can expect the following:

  1. It Will Be Noisy: This is especially true with roof replacement. The process involves tearing down the old roof using large shovels, with discarded roofing falling to the ground and several nail guns going off at once as the new roofing is installed. We recommend giving your neighbors a heads-up about the noise.
  2. It Will Be Dusty: Dust and debris will also be swirling around, so if you work at home or if you’re taking care of young children or pets, it can be disruptive. You may want to consider finding alternate accommodations during the project if you or your children are sensitive to dust.
  3. Progress Will Be Affected by the Weather: Understand that storms, high winds, and rainy weather may delay progress on your roof.
  4. There Will be Lots of Debris: Every roof replacement project generates substantial debris—an entire roof’s worth of it, to be exact. Fortunately, as a professional roofing contractor, we clean up every day we’re on the worksite. For asphalt shingle roof owners, we’d be happy to work with shingle recycles, some of which are listed on ShingleRecycling.org.
  5. Be Prepared for Emergencies: We recommend setting aside 10 to 20% of the project budget as a contingency fund in case of unexpected expenses.
