In our humble opinion, there are few places as beautiful as the Florida Keys, especially when the sunshine, salt air, and a spirit of giving come together. Recently, Team EWJ had the privilege of joining over 400 of our industry peers in this picturesque setting for a weekend of fishing, fellowship, and philanthropy at the 47th Annual RCASF Fishing Tournament. For us at Earl W. Johnston Roofing, taking part in this incredible weekend was about so much more than casting lines and reeling in a catch. For us, it was about stepping outside of our day-to-day operations to reinforce the strong bonds we share with our industry and our South Florida community.
Supporting Meaningful South Florida Causes
At the heart of our family-owned business is a deep commitment to the communities we serve, so we are always eager to participate in events that prioritize giving back. Through the collective efforts, enthusiasm, and generosity of everyone involved, this year’s tournament supported several remarkable local organizations. The funds raised over the weekend directly benefited Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, the IGFA Junior Angler Program, and the Guy Harvey Foundation. By partnering with our peers for this event, we were able to help create a lasting, positive difference for children, marine conservation, and families right here in our own backyard.

An event of this magnitude doesn’t happen without a dedicated organization steering the ship. The Roofing Contractors Association of South Florida (RCASF) has been a pillar of our local industry for decades. Their ongoing mission to champion professionalism, quality, education, and community service is a vision we deeply respect and share. Celebrating the 47th year of this cherished tradition is a testament to the incredible camaraderie and generosity that defines the South Florida roofing community. It is an honor to stand alongside professionals who care just as much about the integrity of their trade as they do about the welfare of their neighbors.

For Team EWJ, spending two days out on the water was a powerful reminder of why we love what we do. We are immensely proud to support both the roofing industry and the vibrant South Florida community we have called home for decades.
